- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Picked this clinic when I was looking for an IUD because it was a womens clinic. I went with Skyla ($650-800) for the IUD itself they billed my insurance ~$1500 for skyla, total cost $1900. Insurance did cover that. However they required a consultation just like every other clinic I called. Despite being a consultation for birth control it was billed as a normal office visit. Called both my insurance and the clinic itself, the clinic was much less helpful then my insurance was. The issue being how the clinic charged the visit, it was not covered. Requested itemized bill which I was told would state it as a visit for birth control, received it and it did not state anything at all. Wound up covering the $180 out of pocket vs letting it go overdue. That $180 was them talking to me for 30min tops over pamphlets of various birth control options. 1/10 would not recommend to a friend. Skyla itself is a rough 9/10, but have not had it long.November 30, 2016by mikaila31
